Dr. Wortham to Speak at Ultherapy Conference

Dr. Don Wortham, MD, FACS,triple Board Certified Seattle Cosmetic Surgeon, and Dr. Steven M. Gitt, MD, FACS, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon of Phoenix, AZ, will present the latest clinical information on Thursday, June 14th about new ultrasonic skin tightening treatment options. Dr. Wortham and Dr. Gitt will discuss the advantages of these novel treatments in cosmetic medicine and will take questions from the audience.

The ultrasonic technologies of Ultherapy have recently been cleared for use in facial rejuvenation by the FDA.  Ultrasonic energy is used to tighten and lift skin plus trigger the creation of new collagen in the deep layers of the skin. “Ultherapy represents a completely new category of cosmetic medicine,” says Dr. Wortham.

“While this cannot replace the results of a facelift, it is a great option for those seeking non-invasive facial rejuvenation,” explains Dr. Gitt, who regularly performs facelifts in Phoenix.

Donald G. Wortham, MD, FACS is triple Board Certified through the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and American Board of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery). He received residency surgical training from the University of Washington and UCLA, where his presentations resulted in national academic recognition and awards. He completed a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in Beverly Hills with Mel Bircoll, MD who had triple board certifications in Cosmetic Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and General Surgery and in Chicago with Dr. Richard Caleel who was the President of the Board of Cosmetic Surgery and double board certified in Cosmetic Surgery and General Surgery.

Dr. Gitt is the founder and medical director of North Valley Plastic Surgery in Phoenix, AZ, established in 1993. Dr. Gitt graduated from medical school with distinction from Wayne State University in 1986 and was elected to membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) national medical honor society in 1985. Dr. Gitt is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery and holds the prestigious Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery.  Dr. Gitt is the founder and original medical director of the Comprehensive Wound Healing Center at Paradise Valley Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
