One of the most stubborn places for loose skin and excess fat is the thigh area. At Cosmetic Surgical Arts, our thigh lift surgery can tighten and tone your thighs for a more cosmetically-appealing look with minimal downtime and recovery.

With two locations in Lynnwood and Mount Vernon in Washington, Cosmetic Surgical Arts is led by triple board-certified surgeon Dr. Don Wortham. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and find out if you are a candidate for thigh lift surgery.

What is Thigh Lift Surgery?

A procedure designed to remove skin and, in some cases, excess fat to minimize the lumpy texture of cellulite, thigh lift surgery creates better proportions in the thigh area and can help restore balance in the shape of the lower body. Thigh lift surgery is a standalone procedure but can also sometimes be performed in conjunction with other procedures to optimize other areas. The treatment options that are available to you can be discussed with Dr. Wortham during your consultation.

During a typical thigh lift surgery, incisions are made in the natural creases of the body in order to help minimize visible scarring. The incision patterns and scar locations will be discussed with you during your consultation, although most surgical scars fade over time. Loose, sagging skin in the thigh area is removed as well as fat where necessary, and the skin is sutured closed.

The duration and extent of your surgery will depend on your individual condition, but most procedures take place within two or three hours under IV sedation or general anesthesia.

Am I a Good Candidate for Thigh Lift Surgery?

Men and women who are experiencing loose skin and pockets of fat in the thigh areas that are difficult to target with diet and exercise may be candidates for thigh lift surgery. During your consultation, Dr. Wortham will evaluate several factors such as your overall health, medical history, aesthetic goals and expectations to determine if this procedure is the best course of treatment for you.

What is the Recovery Time?

After thigh lift surgery, surgical drains may be placed in order to collect excess fluid, and subsequent bruising and swelling may be present for two to four weeks. Doctor Wortham will advise you on when you can return to work and normal activities as well as provide aftercare instructions for your incisions in order to reduce the risk of infection as you heal.

Contact Cosmetic Surgical Arts today to schedule a consultation and find out how thigh lift surgery can reshape and improve the contours of your thighs.
