Radiesse®

Reducing visible signs of aging is an aesthetic goal that many men and women want to achieve, but finding a treatment that also helps improve the skin continuously over time can be challenging. At Cosmetic Surgical Arts, our Radiesse® treatments not only help smooth and tighten aging skin, they also work from the inside out to provide subtle enhancement to problematic areas over time.

With locations in Lynnwood and Mount Vernon in Washington, Cosmetic Surgical Arts is led by Dr. Don Wortham. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and find out if you are a candidate for Radiesse®.

What is Radiesse®?

Approved by the FDA for the correction of moderate to severe signs of aging around the nose and mouth, Radiesse® is an injectable treatment that stands out from other skin rejuvenation options by both plumping volume-deficient areas and continuing to improve your skin over time.

How Does Radiesse® Work?

Radiesse® is a unique formulation of Calcium Hydroxylapatite microspheres in a gel carrier. Like most dermal fillers, Radiesse® is injected underneath the skin with a fine needle and immediately begins working to replenish lost volume in the skin. But while other dermal fillers are absorbed by the body and the visible signs of aging reappear, the calcium microspheres in Radiesse® stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen to continue adding shape and structure to aging skin.

Are There Any Side Effects?

As with any injectable treatment, slight bruising, swelling and redness can occur at injection sites but should subside within a few days. Our medical team at Cosmetic Surgical Arts is highly trained in injectable treatments and will thoroughly evaluate your health, medical history, expectations and aesthetic goals in order to determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment.

This treatment should always be administered by a medical professional, and our team will help you achieve an appearance that is natural-looking without looking fake or overdone.

How Long Will My Results Last?

Over time, the gel from Radiesse® is absorbed by the body, leaving behind your own, natural collagen stimulated by the calcium microspheres. Many patients experience smoother, tighter skin for up to a year, which can be maintained with regular treatment and a good skincare regimen. It may take multiple treatment sessions in order to achieve your aesthetic goals, and our medical team will discuss how many treatments you may need during your consultation.

Contact Cosmetic Surgical Arts today to schedule a consultation and find out how Radiesse® can improve aging skin for both short and long-term results.
